If you already know that the Type A Seat Belt Extender is the most likely fit because you’ve previously ordered or you’ve consulted us, select your style, length and color requirements from above. If you are unsure which Type of extender is the most likely fit, please search our database to find your vehicle.

Our Type A Car Seat Belt Extender is the strongest, safest and most comfortable Type A Seat Belt Extender on the market and has the following benefits and features:

  • Requires no installation - clicks right in and moves between some cars,
  • Ends buckling difficulties - drive buckled up and legally again,
  • Provides a confident driving or riding experience - no worries about getting tickets for being unbuckled,
  • Comes in multiple styles - rigid and regular styles are available for your varying needs.

It is ideal for those who need a Type A Extender but otherwise can't buckle up with the car’s existing seat belt, including:

  • bigger-bodied people,
  • firefighters, police officers and service persons with bulky equipment belts,
  • those with limited mobility and range of motion.

The metal tongue width of the Type A is 21.5mm with a hole width of 11.5mm and a hole length of 20mm; the measurement of the metal bar between the top of the hole and the tip of the metal tongue is 6mm. Do not purchase this item if your seat belt metal tongue has "shoulders" and unless your seat belt metal tongue's dimensions (where you need the extender) match all these measurements. Please note that an extender’s Type is determined by the unique combination of its metal tongue and receptacle and our database is meant to minimize the trouble trying to match the seat belts in your vehicle to a Type. Learn more about Type here.

This product is for those who otherwise can’t buckle up. The seat belt extender’s metal tongue should click into the receptacle of the vehicle’s seat belt and the seat belt’s metal tongue should click into the receptacle of the seat belt extender. Failure to read and abide by manufacturer’s warning regarding purchase, use and installation could result in serious injury. excellent quality product

Posted by Andy R on 7th Nov 2017

Great product to extend the buckle in my car as it's set in the seat base. My car was not listed in the drop down boxes in the menu's so measured my belt metal inserts and picked the right product from the online measurements, easy to do and it's a perfect fit, good quality too. Quick delivery to the UK as well, very happy ☺️

    A perfect solution

    Posted by D A C. on 28th Dec 2016

Due to arthritis in her shoulder, my wife was having difficulty fastening her seatbelt because of the position of the socket in our Mercedes c-class. I found this company on line and ordered an 8" rigid extender ( A type) which solved the problem. The staff were courteous and efficient, the product is perfect, the service excellent and I have a very happy wife.
    Many thanks

    Excellent service

What an amazing service. I was so lucky to come across this website. Sent my requirement with the photo of the tongue and socket of the existing seat belt. This was matched and I received the extensor in no time. The price was reasonable. My wife is so happy that she enjoys the car ride in the new Mercedes Benz in comfort.

    Seat Belt Extention

Posted by Tommy L on 25th Mar 2015

First of all, and MOST important, the sales person was so very nice and knowledgeable. She explained the all of the options and guarantees. When I received the product in a timely manner, it worked out perfect. I am a big guy in a small car. This extension allows me to not have to dig around my butt to find the female end of the belt. It is so very convenient.

    Fixes Ford's Flop

Posted by John V. Csuti on 19th Mar 2015

Ford 's poorly dersigned center console sits to high. Which makes It difficult to find the sealt belt latch. It is somewhat hidden between the side of the seat and console.
The Escape is a fairly good model for Ford and I am sorry that such a little thing like this degrades the quality.

These extenders are the best idea yet. No more feeling around for the slot. It's right there at your fingertips. What are you waiting for?

    seatbelt extender

Posted by Jessica Morton on 15th Feb 2015

It was a little confusing as I had ordered 2 extenders for a '03 Jeep Liberty. I thought they were the same so when I tried one and it didn't fit I didn't try the other one.
Fast forward... got '13 Dodge Challenger on a whim I tried one and it fit. opened the second one and tried it, it didn't fit. Noticed the difference then. Tried it on the Jeep and it fit. THEN ordered the same pair. Now I have extenders that fit in both vehicles.

ONE OF THE BEST INVENTIONS SINCE SLICED BREAD!!

Posted by Jay Andre163 on 12th Feb 2015

This is not necessarily a review, but more of a praise for whomever came up with the idea. Seat belt extensions have existed for a very long time. I'm 73, and as a small child growing up in an "airline" family, specifically, Pan American World Airways, I remember seeing them when we would go on flights. But they were the "fabric", or "flexible" type that fat people had to use. Never knew about the rigid type, until I bought my 1st new car in 23 years in June of 2013. The seat belt connectors on all new cars are jammed so far down between the seat and the console, I don't care if you're 8 or 80, it's a pain in the ass to get to!! So your invention is genius! It's on a par with the guy they made the movie about, who invented the intermittent wipers!! That should be a standard feature on all vehicles manufactured!! Thanks for such a great product.
