All of our seat belt receptacles are manufactured to E4 Safety Certifications in compliance with ISO/TS 16949:2009 for Manufacturing of Seat Belt Assembly and Components.

We have 5 different models of receptacles with varying attributes:

  • R1 - This is the most common seat belt receptacle and often accommodates seat belt metal tongues with a width of 7/8" (21.5mm)
  • R2 - This seat belt receptacle accommodates some metal tongues with a width of 31/32" (24 mm)
  • R3 - This seat belt receptacle accommodates many metal tongues with a width of between 31/32" and 1" (24-24.5 mm)
  • R4 - This is similar to the R3, but it has a wider receptacle opening.
  • R6 - This is an older design of seat belt receptacle that works specifically with certain older metal tongues that are slightly over 1 inch.

We cannot verify which seat belt metal tongues work with these receptacles or help with fitment, but due to the numerous applications of seat belt receptacles, one of these five designs is likely to suit a variety of needs.

    Not A Fit!

Posted by Maria Moroses on 5th Jun 2021

I took the time to call C.S. to give the year, make and model of my car. The guy was nice and assured me this would be the correct replacement for my seatbelt. NOT EVEN CLOSE. The size is different, the mechanism is totally different and it doesn’t attach the same way. Why give information if it’s not correct? An “I don’t know” would’ve saved me the time and money. Annoying.
