Is there a list of cars to tell me what type of extender is the most likely fit?

Yes! Please click here to browse extenders by vehicle make and model. If you don’t see your exact vehicle listed, please provide the information requested on our Contact Form, including a picture of the metal tongue and receptacle of the seat belt you wish to extend.

Listings by manufacturer, model, year and seat are only for those exact vehicles and locations. While it is possible that the listing will click in, for instance, the same car for the next year, that is not always the case. 

Does my seat belt have to look like the photo on the product page?

No. The pictures we use are stock photos and meant to represent lengths, colors and styles; they may not look like the extender you receive nor your seat belt. It is solely important that the title of the product matches the exact location of the extender you are seeking. All photos are copyrighted stock photography.

What if my car isn't included in your catalog?

While we have the most comprehensive database of seat belt extenders, it is possible that your car is not listed. Please fill out this form if you don't see your car in our database, and make sure to include a picture of the exact seat belt metal tongue and receptacle that you're trying to find an extender for. Please do not purchase extenders from “similar” listings, like one year off from yours, as it may not be a likely fit.

Is there more than one Type of seat belt extender?

Yes. An extender’s Type is determined by the exact shape of its metal tongue as paired with its receptacle. Just as different cars have different specifications, so do seat belt extenders. How do I select the most likely fitting Type for my car?

It can be challenging to know what Type of extender you need, so we recommend shopping by your vehicle.

How do I know how long of an extender to get?

You should choose the shortest possible length that will resolve your seat belt need. Learn more about choosing a suitable length by watching the video here.

What should I do if the style of extender I want isn't available for my car?

We're sorry that the style of extender you want isn't available for your car. Unfortunately, every extender Type doesn't come in every style. The Regular Extender is often an excellent choice for most people when a Rigid Extender is not available. If you are unhappy with your extender for any reason, we will gladly provide a return shipping label.

Why does the picture in my shopping cart and on my invoice not reflect the extender style I chose?

When you choose your preferred extender variation and visit your shopping cart, the checkout page, or view your invoice after completing checkout, you may notice that the image of the extender doesn't reflect the variation you selected at checkout. Worry not! We're aware of this issue and the extender variation you chose.

The extender I bought doesn't fit - is it defective?

It is unlikely that your extender is defective. If your extender doesn't fit it is probably not the most likely fit for your vehicle. Fortunately, we offer free returns on all orders placed on our website for 365 days, and it would be our pleasure to help you find a more suitable extender. What is a Rigid Extender?

A Rigid Extender is an extender that stands upright when buckled in. It has a rigid cable running through it. We say "Rigid Extender" in contrast to "Regular Extender," which is made out of the same material as the seat belt in your car. Click here to learn more about extender styles.

How easy are extenders to install?

Extenders are incredibly easy to install. Regular, rigid and adjustable extenders buckle right into your existing seat belt! There are no tools, no special parts and no troubles. Just Click-and-Go! Even our Bolt-in Extender installs in minutes and comes with all necessary hardware and easy to understand guidelines.

Do car extenders work in airplanes?

Unfortunately, car seat belt extenders do not work in airplanes. If you are flying and need an extender for your flight, please see our Airplane Belt Extenders.

Can I use the same extender in different cars?

While you can technically move Click-and-Go extenders from car to car since they are not permanently affixed, but it is only recommended to use the most likely fitting extender for any particular vehicle.

Are seat belt extenders safety tested?

Absolutely. Our car seat belt extenders are rigorously tested and E-Mark (E4 or E8) Safety Certified. Learn more extender safety here.

How are seat belt extenders measured? 

The length of an extender is the amount of additional length you get when the extender is buckled in, which is the distance from the far end of the receptacle to the first portion of the metal tongue (all but what would disappear into the car's receptacle). What if the extender I buy doesn’t fit?

We’re here to help if you determine that your extender doesn’t fit. We offer free returns and exchanges for all orders placed on our website for 365 days. Click here to learn more about exchanges and returns.

How long will it take for my order to arrive using the free shipping option?

If you live in the United States, it usually takes between 3 and 7 business days, depending on where you live. International free shipping times vary. Learn more about shipping speeds here.

Do you offer overnight shipping?

Absolutely. If you need your extender delivered overnight, shipping options will be presented during check out.

Expedited services must be placed by 1 p.m. EST to ship out the same day. Orders placed after 1 p.m. EST may not be shipped out until the next day.

Why am I getting a "Generic Processor Error” when I try to check out?

Some of our customers have shared that they receive an error message during checkout that says "Generic Processor Error.” To date, in 100% of cases, we’ve found that this issue is not a problem with the store’s checkout process, but rather an issue with the relationship between the customer’s credit card and the billing information entered. To avoid or overcome this error message, please triple check the following:
  • That the billing address matches the address your credit card company has on file. For some people this is not the same as the shipping address. This is where your statements are sent.
  • That your zip code, apartment number, name, and other fields all match. Even the smallest typo can be the cause of the error.
  • That there are sufficient funds on your credit (or debit) card.

What is this extra shipping charge on some products for non-US shipping destinations?

Almost all of our products are offered with free shipping to nearly every country. We're very proud of this. However, some of our products, due to their storage location, size, or weight, are too costly to be mailed without an additional shipping charge. Due to the extremely limited nature of these products, we've chosen to include "Shipping Destination" as an option on the product page itself. When the destination "Outside of United States" is selected, the appropriate charge will be added to cover shipping costs. If customers do not choose this option but are shipping outside of the US, we will send all other items in the order normally and send an invoice for the shipping of the special item. if 30 days pass without the invoice being paid, we will credit the value of the item as store credit.

What currency will I be charged in?

All of our orders are charged in USD. If you would like to shop in another currency in order to better understand our prices, you can change the currency to a selection of options using the dropdown selector in the top left corner of our site. Any other currency you see displayed is only a point of reference. We will charge your credit card at our site's USD price, and your credit card company will convert to the currency that it charges you in. Based on your credit card company and the conversion rate they offer, the amount will be different than any you had displayed, but rarely by much.

What payment methods do you take?

We accept all major credit cards, including American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover as well as PayPal.

What countries do you deliver to?

We are the world's leading seat belt extender brand, and we ship almost everywhere in the world. Simply select your country at checkout and provide complete shipping details.

While we are grateful for the business of our customers around the world, please note that - aside from the EU (see below) - we cannot know whether or not you will have to pay customs or duties or how that will affect transit times.

I'm in the EU - how does VAT work?

If you are shipping to an EU country, you will notice at the cart page (after you share your country) and on the checkout page, that “tax” has been added to your order. This tax is the VAT charged at the rate of your country. In order to expedite your order through customs during the shipping process, we collect the VAT owed on your order and remit it to the appropriate authorities on your behalf. By paying VAT directly to us, we can expedite your order through customs and ensure a timely delivery.

How big is the package? Will it fit in my mailbox, or do I need to be home for delivery?

Our packages are typically rather small, and in many cases, extenders are delivered in small, padded envelopes. In the overwhelming majority of cases, our extenders will fit in your mailbox, and we rarely find that customers need to be home to accept delivery.

However, we cannot deliver express to a PO Box outside of the United States due to carrier restrictions. If you are requesting express delivery to a country other than the US, please provide a physical address.

My extender says it was delivered but I don't see it. What now?

  • Look for a notice of attempted delivery
  • Look around the delivery location for your package like steps, stoops and porches
  • See if someone else accepted the delivery, like a roommate, family member or neighbor
  • Wait until the end of the next day—packages can show as delivered while still in transit

Are you a robot on livechat?

Nope. We do use some automatic "triggers" to say hello when it looks like you could use help on a certain part of the site, but as soon as you say something back, you're speaking with a real human being, not a robot.
